In this course the necessary financial tools needed to effectively plan, budget and control an organization, are provided to postgraduate students. This course articulates from the core Finance theory, extending these concepts, such as interest rates, risk and volatility, capital budgeting and investment evaluation, financial markets, financial reporting and financial analysis, in the oil and gas industry and transportation industry. The scope of the course is to familiarize students in the financial concepts that are of relevance to managers in the industry and enhancing their ability to apply financial tools and ideas to organisations in the oil and gas industry and transportation.

5. Capital Structure and payout policy Capital Structure, Cost of Capital, Working Capital, Dividend policy and share repurchases. (3 hours)
